  • Never discipline during the learning phase
  • Maintain trust between handler & dog
  • Corrections must be fair

We offer personal training and tutoring by private contract.  Fully fenced facilities include both indoor and outdoor German style runs, facilities for building and patrol searches, and a regulation training field on site. Owners are welcome to visit at any time based on our training schedule.

Imprinting, which takes place during the first 16 weeks of a dog's life, is the phase when a dog learns lessons for life that they will never forget, and always be able to retrieve later. We teach these lessons through play and motivational methods only. We imprint our personal puppies in all three Schutzund phases during that time and offer this same service to you.

Protection imprinting is personally done in house by Charlie. The tracking and obedience imprinting (which we don't call obedience, but playing our "game") is done by Sigrid Riess-Mundry at her farm in South Carolina.

All dogs must be evaluated prior to acceptance to the Reeboch training program.  Evaluation, with the owner present, consists of temperament testing to establish suitability for BH and Schutzhund training.

Training rates are subject to change based on several factors such as location. travel, seminar duration etc.

Please use as a guideline:

Private lessons: $ 60.00/training session

Seminars: Fee for a weekend seminar is $ 1,250.00 for up to five dogs plus travel expenses. Each additional dog is $ 200.00 for the weekend. The maximum number of dogs is 10. Puppies/young dogs are $ 150.00 for the weekend.

Imprinting and titling rates depend on length of stay.

For live-in training, dogs can be trained to any level from BH [Companion Dog] to Schutzhund 3 and beyond for police k9s.

The basic BH training program is approximately four weeks for all on-lead training and temperament conditioning.  Off lead work is approximately two weeks and done just prior to testing.

Schutzhund 1 - 3 requires individual evaluation before establishing a training schedule.  Schedule will be reevaluated periodically and regular reports sent to owners.

Day visitor, one on one and small group training is available.  Training is at any level from BH to polishing competition dogs and for handlers from the beginning Schutzhund handler to polishing the Schutzhund 3 routine.

One, two, and three-day Club/Group seminars are available in house or on your club field.

"I have been involved in Schutzhund since 1975. In that time I have competed in several local, regional and national events.

I have only twice sought training and guidance from a "coach", but none to compare with Charlie.

Charlie is a rare individual and the best trainer I have ever been associated with. He sees things in a dog that go unnoticed by others, but will enable them to learn. Undue force is not a part of his program.

Anna and I recently scored 292 points in our debut in Schutzhund I with High in Obedience, High in Protection and High In Trial.

This would not have been accomplished without him. Under his "program and philosophy" Anna enjoys working, she looks forward to it. His knowledge and ability to train a dog in drive is unmatched.

Together with Sigrid Mundry's invaluable help, I thank them for their instruction on how to prepare for a trial and effectively get the most out of my dog. I look forward to their continued assistance in achieving Anna's next titles."
